He has also been the recipient of the Ronald Salinger Award in the year 2007, in Australia by the International Association of Trichologists, for excellence and outstanding contribution in the field of Trichology which is the world’s highest honour in Trichology. He has also been conferred the title of India’s greatest brand builder at the CMO Asia Awards 2010 in Singapore.
Dr. Apoorva Shah has been associated with the Femina Miss India Pageant as the official hair care expert for the last 10 years. Dr. Apoorva Shah has also established the M.E.T Richfeel institute of Trichology, the first and foremost educational institution in India which trains doctors to become trichologists. Through the Meenaxiben & Rekhaben Shah Memorial Trust, Dr. Apoorva Shah strives to bring in a positive outlook in the lives of cancer patients. This trust not only provides free treatment to cancer patients but also helps restore their image, prestige and confidence, thus fulfilling their mission of ‘Bringing back one’s confidence.’ The trust also works towards eliminating the negative physical effects of cancer
Dr. Apoorva Shah is also an author of the book ‘Have a great hair day’ published by The Times of India. The book encompasses various aspects of hair treatment.
On the philanthropic front they have pledged to treat the less fortunate who cannot afford even a consultation through the concept of ‘Free Hair Care Day’, wherein an individual can avail of the services at Richfeel at a nominal fee.
They are also the brains behind the formation of World Medical Trichologist Association in United States of America.
